Our Story

Smashing Life was founded in 2019 when Karen was asked by graduates of her ground-breaking Brides Club community for Jewish brides-to-be to create a follow-on space for Jewish newlyweds.

What started off as a nurturing community for Jewish newlywed women quickly expanded to the ultimate support squad for ALL Jewish women (regardless of their relationship status) – and the go-to place for Jewish women to feel understood and accepted within a judgement-free zone.

Having pioneered and established Smashing The Glass, the world’s biggest Jewish wedding platform, the Your Jewish Life podcast and Instagram account loved by 100s of 1000s of Jewish women across the globe, and the Jewish Joy Journal, the world’s bestselling gratitude journal for Jewish women, Karen set out to reduce feelings of isolation and empower Jewish women to connect, all over the world.

Her vision is to inspire Jewish women to build healthy and equitable relationships in all areas of life while embodying the core Jewish values of kindness, inclusivity, compassion and joy.
