Notes

Serve with rice

Ingredients

For 2 people

  • 250g turkey mince
  • Onion
  • Salt and pepper
  • Paprika
  • Cinnamon
  • 3 spoons matzah meal
  • One egg

Sauce:

  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Tin of chopped tomatoes
  • Chilli
  • Paprika
  • Cinnamon

Method

  1. In a bowl mix turkey mince (I use one packet for two of us), finely chopped onions, salt, pepper, paprika, cinnamon – be generous with the flavouring, three spoonfuls of matza meal, one egg
  2. Mix well and leave to sit for ten minutes.
  3. Then take the mince and make into ball shapes – I usually do this with my hands as I find it easier.
  4. Lightly fry over for a couple of minutes on each side.
  5. Once all the balls are fried over place them on a tray in the oven.
  6. Cook for 15-20 minutes
Sauce:
  1. Chop onion and garlic and lightly fry over
  2. Add one tin of chopped tomatoes
  3. Add a good helping of Chilli and all the spices in the meat balls and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Take the sauce and tip it over the turkey balls and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
