Spice-broiled salmon
by Lacey Kovacic

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp turmeric
- salmon fillets
Method
1. Mix together all the spices in a bowl
2. Spread the spice mixture in a baking dish.
3. Pat your salmon fillets dry. I use skin-on salmon fillets because they are inexpensive at the grocery store, but use whatever you prefer.
4. Place each filet in the baking dish and coat one side with the spice mixture. Only coat one side of the salmon.
5. Place the coated salmon fillets on a foil-lined baking sheet coated with nonstick cooking oil spray. Lightly spray the tops of the fillets as well.
6. Broil in a pre-heated broiler until salmon is cooked to preferred doneness and the spice mixture is caramelized. In my toaster oven, this took about 8 minutes.
