Japanese Sesame Dressing
by Amy Becker

Notes
We served with grilled salmon (made an Asian glaze with soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang and a little sugar), tomatoes, cucumbers and avocado. It would be tasty over grilled veggies, with chicken, lots of options!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (you could use full-fat Greek yogurt too, I often to half and half)
- 1 tablespoon tahini paste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- In a metal saute pan, toast the sesame seeds until slightly brown and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Pulse the sesame seeds in a food processor until the sesame seeds are broken up or use a spice grinder.
- Add the other ingredients and pulse until combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
